Hi Joseph,
Thanks for putting these together. I spent some time today implementing a bypass to the default geometry simulation transforms so that ACTS can read in these survey geometry transforms directly. I think we may have a definition mismatch as the local x axis rotation (alpha) is always really large, i.e. doesn’t appear to be a perturbation, and the y axis rotation is always a different sign from what Acts expects. This may be partially related to the swapped basis that ACTS uses. Let’s discuss it in the tracking meeting this week as I know you are also preparing your talk for the AUM workshop next week.
