Hi Charles,

Thanks for the nice set of slides. Sorry for missing the rehearsal this morning but I had another meeting at 10 AM. I just have a few comments for you to consider below.

Joe

- In general some of the figures could be made larger, for example on page 10 and 11 there is a considerable amount of white space in between the bullets on the left. You could try making the text fit in a smaller space which maybe would give you space to expand the figures into.

- I would suggest showing some of the commissioning plots or event displays that the collaboration has produced to show that we actually have a real operating experiment. You could consider flashing one preliminary plot for each relevant subsystem when you introduce them on slides 5-8

Page 11 – Promp -> Prompt (just a typo, missing t)

Page 12 – I suggest using a more recent version of an upsilon plot from Sasha Lebedev’s poster at QM this year. You can find it here
https://indico.bnl.gov/event/19188/

Page 13 – These plots were made with genfit and not Acts, which means they have a better upsilon mass resolution because of the way material is handled differently in the two software packages. I would suggest changing the bullet “Simulations show improvement to sigma=75” to something more general like “simulations show recovery of undistorted upsilon mass resolution” so that we don’t have a variety of numbers flying around for the upsilon mass peak resolution (e.g. in just the slide before you have 85 MeV, and then in this slide you have 72 MeV. People may wonder what all these differences are, which aren’t important for a general audience).

Slide 14-15 are empty for me, are these to be added in a future draft?

Joe

Hello sPHENIX Tracking Enthusiasts,

The title of the talk is:

"sPHENIX tracking detector highlight and related physics studies "

I have attached a .pdf of the slides draft and here is the invenio link.

Today at 10 AM I am giving a rehearsal talk. Additonally, I would be happy to get any feedback the tracking group could provide. Again, the talk is 1 week from today.

Thank you
