What if we met at 11 AM, which would give the TPC group 1.5 hours to meet first? Or if there are still needed discussions the TPC group can continue and join the overall tracking discussion when they are finished?

Joe

Hi Tony and Christof,

As you might know, the TPC group has regular meeting on Monday from
9:30am at 1008, and usually lasts until noon. So, we may or may not
be able to join.

HI Tony,

we should definitely meet on Monday. I have a one off appointment this Monday from 10 - 10:45am other than that I am free.

The seeding efficiency in the TPC seems to have a strong bending direction dependence. Understanding this is probably
very urgent. See plot below.

Cheers

Hi All,

We have a few runs now with data from all tracking systems, and with the magnetic field on. There are some caveats (primarily, the TPC gain is still a bit low and the MVTX strobe is still 89 μs) but the important thing is that we have data we can use to do a complete shake-down of the reconstruction chain. So let's do that!

I would like to suggest that tracking and distortions experts get started on:

Preliminary silicon alignment - centering the barrels on the beam position.
Preliminary static TPC distortion corrections - so we can match to the silicon.
Tuning the silicon and TPC seeding.
Tuning the silicon-TPC-TPOT track matching.
Extracting the beam crossing structure in the data.

I think it is a reasonable goal for us to work through that list in the coming week.

Can we find a time on Monday morning where we can all get together and bring everyone up to speed on what exists and what still needs to be done?

Thanks
Tony
