Hi Hugo,

I guess the question in the long run is, can we split the current full reco module in two so we do not have to rerun the pattern recognition twice. 

We should soon come up with a workflow that resembles a little closer our job A/B/C design, including the corresponding intermediate file storage etc.

For the next few days I don't think we are pressed for CPU slots/resources and we can simply run the two macros in parallel for development purposes.

We should reprocess all the relevant runs we have so far with your setup asap, so the analyzers have something to work on.

As discussed this morning, the macro I used to generate residuals in the TPC with TPC clusters removed from the ACTS fit, is at

/direct/phenix+u/workarea/hpereira/sphenix/work/g4simulations/Fun4All_CombinedDataReconstruction_for_Tony.C

It is adapted from a macro that I got from Tony in the first place and

• Turn ON SC_CALIB_MODE
• Adds the TPC residuals module to perform the Silicon+TPOT acts fit interpolation in the TPC and get interpolated track states suitable for the TrackResiduals evaluation module

It is also quite similar to what we will run in the future Job A I think, to the exception that it does not include any central membrane reconstruction

 

My understanding (Christof ?) is that we would like this somewhat included in the automatic production at some point. I have no idea how to achieve that, but can provide any help needed towards that goal.
