Hi,

This is indeed interesting – I implemented something like the mirror rotation in the most recent major update to PHSimpleKFProp (using a less sophisticated procedure: turning the momentum vector around at the edge of the TPC and manually transporting the position across the turnaround point). I wasn't aware it had "no precedent in the literature," though, which is neat. The propagation function that's used here looks somewhat different from what ALICEKF uses as well, but I could be wrong – I'd have to compare line-by-line to confirm. In any case, I'll be looking into this.

Thanks,

Michael Peters

Hi All,

Interesting paper describing an improved technique for tracking in TPC detectors that supposedly handles loopers well.
