Thanks everyone for all of the comments and suggestions!
I went ahead and edited my abstract to emphasize that this was just a simulated data study like Tony suggested, and updated my plots and my poster to highlight which figures are from simulated data and which are from real data like Tony and Joe suggested. I also added in the sPhenixStyle to my plots thanks to a suggestion from Cameron, so I think we should be good to go there too. Let me know if there’s anything else you’d like me to amend and I’ll be happy to do so, otherwise I’ll go ahead and get my poster printed in preparation for flying out tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks so much again for all of your help, I really appreciate it!

One other comment - you should modify the simulation plots to say sPHENIX Simulation instead of internal. And in conjunction with Tony's comment, maybe instead of "data" as the legend label put something else to distinguish that this is simulation? I don't have a good suggestion right now though... So maybe just increase the size of the plot labels so that they are more easily readable and thus distinguish that this is simulation (e.g. so people see PYTHIA and sPHENIX simulation clearly).

Hi Thomas,

Thanks for the updated poster. I have no further comments on it beyond what Tony has suggested.

Cheers,
Cameron

Hello Thomas,

1)
The abstract says:

"We employ a tag-and-probe scheme applied to several decay modes as a means of using data to determine the efficiency of the sPHENIX tracking system. Additionally, we compare the results of this measurement with a large truth-associated simulated sample of the same decay modes in order to validate our observations"

This seems to suggest that we have analyzed data and we are also going to show simulation results. I think you should make it clear that this is a simulation study in preparation for analyzing data.

2)
The peak from data looks so nice it is not obvious that it is data. Doing something to highlight that it is data would be good.

Cheers
Tony

Hi HF and Tracking conveners,

Thank you for the helpful comments and suggestions! I believe I made the appropriate corrections to my note and my poster, and I have updated my figures with the needed corrections to my invariant mass reconstruction as well.
Please let me know if there is anything else I should amend and I’ll be happy to do so! Here are the links to my poster and internal note revisions on invenio:

Thanks a bunch,

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to share my first draft of my Tag and Probe tracking efficiency poster and internal note for the figures I hope to use with it at quark matter.
Please let me know if you have any comments or suggestions on the poster, figures, or note and I’ll be happy to work on them and get them squared away by next week!

All the best,
