Hi All,
Please find my updated slides here:

Dear Sam,_______________________________________________
Please find my comment/suggestions below for your AUM talk (as the same suggestions to your DNP talk) :
1. Title : Proton Higher Order Cumulants AuAu 𝑠𝑁𝑁=3.0GeV ->
Higher Order Cumulants of Proton Multiplicity Distributions in Au+Au Collisions at sqrt(sNN) = 3.0 GeV.
2. Add "for the STAR Collaboration"
3. Slide 3, I suggest to re-write slide 3.
Current slide 3 didn't serve the purpose of motivation of this measurement : sensitive to correlation length and search for the
critical point. You may want to show how the cumulants related with the correlation length with some references.
4. In slide 4, Title -> STAR net-proton fluctuations Measurement from BES-I
show a rise at ... -> show a rise trend below 19.6 GeV.
5. In slide 5, please add more information, for example, the event statistics, muB value, the year of taking this data etc..
The coordinate system used in this analysis is not STAR conventional one. Please mention this how the positive rapidity is define.
Should mention the beam direction is defined as positive rapidity direction.
6. Slide 6, Please write down the black box is -0.5<y<0.5, 0.4<pT<2 GeV/c in the slide. and TPC and TOF PID are used.
7. Slide 7, the unit of pt and mass square (x-axis of PID plot) in the slide are not correct. it should be GeV/c and (GeV/c^2)^2
Please write down the PID cuts used for each pt range.
8. I suggest to put the backup slide 18 in your DNP slides just after the slide 8.
Because those two corrections (CBWC and efficiency correction) are very
important for this analysis. And please also mention how to evaluate the statistical errors in this slide.
9. Slide 10, You and Yu may cross refer each other, since Yu also has a presentation (model studies) in DNP meeting.
10. Slide 12 and 13, as we discussed in high moments focus meeting, the CBWC used at 3 GeV is not efficient/enough to suppress volume
fluctuations at mid-central and peripheral collisions. You can also find a model study : arXivl:2009.03755
Currently, as we haven't find good solution to suppress volume fluctuation yet before DNP meeting, I suggest we only show most
central data points for higher order cumulants (C2, C3, C4 and cumulant ratios), where we have least volume fluctuation effect.
You can discuss the results from central results by doing several comparisons : before and after different corrections.
11. Slide 14, I suggest write down one or two bullets to discuss what's the most important finding from this study.
And also this plot, only FXT data points are STAR preliminary and other results from BES-I are final, we may reflect
this in the legend (or put arXIv number for BES-I results in legend).
12. Summary, I suggest mention the 0-5% results are consistent with the results with UrQMD within uncertainties, which is dominated by
the effects of baryon number conservation. We may add one table or several bullets mention the data taken in BES-II and FXT energies.
Thank you
Best Regards,
Xiaofeng
