Dear Chuan,
Please find below comments to your nice slides:
Slide 1: Add Supported in part by U.S. department of Energy (don’t forget about their logo)
Slide 2: Your outline is very short. I recommend to add more points that will be discussed during your talk
Slide 3: Colliding mode -> Collider mode
Slide 4: remove the line: Initial scatterings -> medium -> expanding -> particle-emitting (freeze-out)
Instead you should describe the source’s evolution by words (left plot)
Femtoscopy (Correlation Function) -> Femtoscopy method (skip Correlation Function)
Slide 5: 1/2 -> 1 and 2
If you don’t refer to any specific reference frame I would just define the vector q:
vec{𝑞}/Δ𝑝/Qinv =sqrt{−Δ𝑝𝑢Δ𝑝𝑢 } -> vec{q} = sqrt{−Δ𝑝𝑢Δ𝑝𝑢 }
Then you leave the following formula:
Δ𝑝𝑢 = 𝑝𝑢 1- 𝑝𝑢 2
Remove: vec{q}(\Dellta p) from definitions of A(\vec{q}) and B(\vec{q})
Slide 6: Add that TPC means Time Projection Chamber and ToF means Time of Flight:
Particle identification: particle's energy loss: Time Projection Chamber (TPC) + particle's time of flight: Time of Flight (TOF)
3 GeV -> sqrt{s_{NN}} = 3 GeV
Slide 7: Simulation of CF -> Proton-proton correlations
Change the description of the axises: \Delta p -> q_{inv}
C(\Delta p) -> C(q_{inv})
And add the definition of the q_inv.
Slide 9 and 10: Here you plot your correlations functions not in \delta(p) but in q_{inv}/2, change descriptions of the axises (remember to update your preliminary plots at drupe too)
\delta(p) -> q{inv}/2 in the text
Slide 11: you can keep the plots, however I think it is too early to show your predictions regarding the volume.
It is ok if you show these plots but as we discussed during the meeting, having one-dimensional correlation function you cannot extract Rx, Ry, Rz and time. In order to do it you should calculate your correlation function in 3 dimensions, or to use Spherical Harmonics decomposition of the correlation function.
Moreover, your volume’s extraction varies between 500 and 900 fm^3 which means you don’t get your precise estimation this way. Please remove the table. Instead, you can say, you will study more proton-proton system to extract information regarding the volume of the system.
Slide 12: I would skip this slide completely as the extraction of the volume parameters need more investigation.
Please remove the right plot from the preliminary page:
Thanks,
Hanna
