STAR Correlations and Fluctuations PWG

Hi All,

I wanted to follow up on this - can we make the request to Gene and the software group soon?  Skipper has verified that he calculates precisely the same thing as Yu when he runs over a single file.  But the results diverge for a larger data set.  So the next step is for Skipper to run Yu's code over a larger data set and determine whether that yields the same results or not.  Given the weight that the PAC has placed on independent proton kurtosis measurements, I do think this next step is important.

I would like to request that some of the 14.5 GeV FastOffline data be restored in order to contrast results of different proton cumulant analysis codes. As you know, I have had some trouble reconciling differences in my cumulant generating code with Yu Zhang's very well done code, so I would like to run over some of the 14.5 GeV runs in order to see where the discrepancy lies; this will help move forward our work on EPD centrality at 14.5 GeV. I can give a list of runs I would like to run over, and would probably only need on the order of a couple million events from those runs.

Let me know if this would be possible, and if so what else I would need to do to get these runs temporarily restored. Thank you!
