STAR Correlations and Fluctuations PWG

Dear CF Group,

As discussed in today's meeting, my macro for generating a new nσ_p definition is attached. I've also included an example root file to run it with. The macro does all the fits and prints the parameters. It also uses the histograms that it's given to generate a plot of approximately what the new nσ_p vs momentum should look like, although this is not a perfect representation because it's using tracks that are already binned in rapidity and momentum. In order to get a true nσ_p plot, the picoDsts have to be re-processed. The last thing the macro prints out is exactly what code you'll need to add in order to process the picoDsts to generate the new nσ_p variable. If anyone has thoughts or suggestions I'd be happy to receive input on this code, and I hope others find it helpful.
