Dear Conveners, all,

Thank you very much for the comments, the new slides can  be found here: https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/Moriond2023_v2.pdf

I believe I've addressed all of them. I included a reference for the phase diagram image which is from Ben Kimelman who edited a figure from the RHIC Beam Energy Scan paper, although I couldn't find exactly where the author of this paper got those chemical freezeout points:
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/260703454_The_RHIC_beam_energy_scan_program_in_STAR_and_what%27s_next_ldots

In addition to the requested edits I also edited the diagram of STAR on slide 3 to be a more recent figure.

Thank you very much,
Zach

Dear Zach,

Please find below my comments for your nice slides:

Slide 4:
I don’t know what is the origin (yours, or someone else) of this figure but you might consider adding some information/ references to the points following chemical freeze-out line.

Slide 6:
Instead mentioning high temperatures / densities, you may concentrate on temperatures as QGP is mostly studies at hight temperatures, and low / moderate densities (or \miu_B)

Slide 7:
Here you may add a reference to the presented figure
Instead of the general statement (BES), you could refer to its 3 parts: BES-I, BES-II, and FXT.
Please consider adding what \miu_B are reached with separate phases of BES
You may mention the main goals of the BES program (searches of signatures of the 1st order phase transition, critical endpoint, etc..)

Slide 8:
Consider adding an example(s) with covered acceptance at FXT

Slide 10:
You may refer just to the name (or abbreviation) of the conference: CPOD 2021
Peak in R_out/R_side expected of .. -> Peak in R_out/R_side might probe (or something similar)..

Slide 11:
You may leave just a reference: M. S. Abdallah et al, Phys. Rev. C 103, 034908

Slide 12:
Temp -> temperature

Slide 13:
Determine that m_inv of dipleptons determine the origin of .. (what) -> them
Consider shortening of the reference, just authors and a reference

Slide 14:
Add a reference to the right figure

Slide 15:
Name of the author and the reference will be sufficient

Slide 17:
You may add a conclusion ([hysics interpretation) that v2/nq at 3 GeV don’t scale as hadrons for higher collision energies

Slide 23:
Consider shortening your reference

Slide 24:
You may add the formula for kurtosis (and \kappa \sigms^2)

Slide 28:
Consider shortening the references

With those implemented / considered, I sign off.

Thanks,
Hanna

Dear star-cf-l AT lists.bnl.gov members,

Comment:
Dear Zach,

Below are  my comments on your nice slides for your considerations.

Best regards,
Toshihiro

=========================

General:
- On the references
-- The web links need to be removed from all references. Or you could add the
link to all references.
- - Remove the title of the papers for simplicity

p7:
- "Beam Energy Scan (BES)" -> "Beam Energy Scan and Fixed Target Programs
(BES-I, BES-II, FXT)"
- "BES program scans phase..." -> "Scanning phase ..."
p9: It might be informative to add the width of the target
p10: "Hanna Zbroszczyk, CPOD2021"
p13,14: remove the title and link of the paper (bottom left)
p15,16: Remove "Dissertation" (bottom left)
p17: "Phys.Lett.B 827.137003(2022)", remove the link to the paper (bottom
right)
p19-22: "Proton Stopping in Au+Au Collisions"
p23: "arXiv:0903.0669", remove the title and link to the paper
p24:
- "Beam nergy Scan I" -> "BES-I"
- You probably need to define BES-I and BES-II somewhere around page 7.
- 1st bullet: "Nonmonotonic collision energy dependence of kurtosis of..."
- 2nd bullet: "Counting (anti)protons,"
- 3rd bullet: "nonmonotonicity with 3.1σ significance"
- Remove the link to the paper, add the author (bottom right)
- Change the style of the volume numbers "38", "126" to the fine font.
p25-27:
- Replace "arXiv:2209.11940" to "Phys.Rev.C 107.024908(2023)"
- You may want to specify which reference presents new 3 GeV results.
p26-27:
- 2nd bullet: FXT program will cover...
p27: 3rd bullet "... recollected at BES-I energies below 20 GeV (BES-II)"
p28-29:
- Remove the title and link to the paper, change the volume number to the
fine font (bottom right)
- "STAR, Science 328, 58-62(2010)" Remove the link to the paper, change
"SCIENCE" to the fine font.
p31:
- 1st bullet: "BES-II and FXT programs"
- 2nd bullet: "AuAu" -> "Au+Au"
