- Date: Sat, 1 Apr 2023 20:31:06 +0800
Dear Convenors and All,
I would like to apply for a poster abstract for QM2023.
The title: Proton correlation function in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 3.2 GeV.
Format: Poster.
Correlation function of Baryons has been extensively used in heavy-ion collisions to study the space-time structure, the dynamical evolution information of the particle emission source and final state interactions.
In this poster, we will present the correlation function of protons in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 3.2 GeV from the second phase of beam energy scan (BESII) at STAR. The Lednicky-Lyuboshitz fit is used to study the proton correlation function. The physical implications of scattering length, effective range of strong interaction and extracted source size will be discussed. At the end, we will analysis energy dependence of source size, effective range of strong interaction and scattering length.
Best regards,
Yu Zeng

Dear Conveners and All,
I would like to submit an poster abstract for QM2023 titled "K+K+ correlation function in Au+Au collisions at #sqrt(s_{NN}) = 3.0 - 3.9 GeV":
Two-particle correlations are used to extract the space-time and dynamical information of the emission source created in heavy-ion collisions. The source radii extracted from these correlations describe the system at kinetic freeze-out, i.e. the last stage of particle interactions. Kaons can provide a more direct view of the particle-emitting source than pions as they have smaller hadronic cross section than pions and suffer less contribution from long lifetime resonances.
In this poster, the measurements of K+K+ correlation functions in Au+Au collisions at #sqrt(s_{NN}) = 3.0, 3.2, 3.5 and 3.9 GeV recorded by the STAR experiment will be presented. One-dimensional source size (Rinv) and correlation strength parameter (#lambda) of the system are extracted from correlation functions using the Bowler-Sinyukov formula. The comparison of the measured radii with the predictions from UrQMD+CRAB will be made.
Best,
Bijun Fan
