Dear Chuan, ShinIchi and All,

We expect a change of radii with kT of the pair / pT of the particle / centrality of the collision / energy of the collision, but a similar set of parameters of the strong interaction for these cases is expected as well. Yesterday I suggested checking how the change of parameters of the strong interaction: f0 and d0, is sensitive to these fittings. I proposed to fix them to those predicted by theory as to see how fitting will change.

I also think it would be good to compare results with previously published in Nature STAR results (a conclusion was that pbar-pbar parameters are consistent with p-p).

We also discussed the assumption that the gaussian / non-gaussian source may influence the parametrization of the interaction, but this would be more challenging to check.

Thanks,
Hanna

Dear ShinIchi,
Thank you for your nice suggestions.
We indeed mearsured the p-p CF for different pT bin(0.15-0.4, 0.4-0.7, 0.7-1.0, 1.0-1.5 GeV/c),
not kT bin, but I think it dose not matter, since the larger pT is corresponding to larger kT,
and smaller pT is corresponding to smaller kT. However, due to the serious track-merging effect,
we have to give up lowest pT bin [0.15, 0.4], and the higest pT bin [1.0, 1.5] GeV/c have not enough statistics.
So, we only have two pT bin (0.4-0.7, 0.7-1.0), as you suggested, in the future long paper plan,
we would like to study the pT dependece of rG, f0 and d0, and it is nice idea to compare to pion-pion's results in our long paper plan.

But currently we want to foucus on our short paper (Target journal: PRL) including p-p and p-Lam.
and p-Xi CFs and first measurement on the strong interaction parameters between p-p and p-Lam.
To sum up, in the future long paper plan we would like to include the data points from two pT bin (0.4-0.7, 0.7-1.0),
and study the pT dependece of rG, f0 and d0. In current short paper, we will focus on the first measurment on
baryon-baryon CFs and strong interaction parameters extraction at 3 Gev.

Again thank you for your nice suggestions, and please let me know if you have any question.

Best and regards,
Chuan for the PAs

Dear Chuan
Sorry for missing your talk, since I did not realize the starting time of the meeting
has been modified recently, that was my fault. I wanted to listen your talk and ask
you a few questions, so I here send you this via E-mail.

You have observed the f0 and d0 parameters with some minor dependences as a
function of centrality and rapidity, therefore you’ve tried the simultaneous fitting, which
is very much reasonable. Have you also tried to vary the kt of the pair to test the
same thing? Or will you be trying to? We expect some significant kT dependence
of radius (size of the source), at least, stronger than the rapidity dependence, just
like what you see as a function of centrality. Do you think you would still see one
common set of f0 and d0 parameters, including the kT dependence in addition to
your centrality and rapidity dependences? With these tests including kT dependence,
you might be able to compare the source radius your p-p correlation analysis with
the one from the other pion-pion correlation studies, possibly including kT, rapidity
and centrality dependences. Or you might even be able to try some kind of global
fitting by constraining the kT, rapidity and centrality dependences of the source size,
in order finally to test the kinematic or geometric dependence of d0 and f0 parameters
or if they are really independent as you might expect etc… You might have discussed
this or thought about it, as I’ve joined late today… Sorry about it and thank you very
much for the nice studies, I enjoyed a lot.
Best regards, ShinIchi

Dear CF Activists,

We will have our weekly CF PWG meeting on Thursday, May 18th, 9:00 AM
(BNL time).
Please note that this week we start at a new time (30 minutes earlier than before).

If you would like to contribute, please let us know.

Please try to post your slides at your earliest convenient.
We will connect via Zoom. Please find the connection details under the
meeting webpage.

Thank you,
Best regards,
Toshihiro and Hanna
