Dear Rutik,

Please find my comments/suggestions below for your poster presentation.

Best regards,
Toshihiro

(Title) Mean pT fluctuations…

(Abstract)
- Incident energy -> collision energy

(Motivation)
- dense matter created in

(Uncertainty estimation and Efficiency correction)
- 2nd bullet: .. calculated by using bootstrap method.
- Remove histogram titles from the figures
- Why are you showing pT dependent efficiency averaged over particle species? In my understanding, you use pT dependent efficiency for each particle specie, then determine the response matrix for <pT> of charged particles. If so, I would draw 3 curves for pi/K/p efficiencies without averaging.
- Upper figure
— remove legend, just instead add “0-5% centrality” inside the panel.
— Add y-axis title
- Lower figure
— Make font size larger for axis label/title and texts inside the panel.
- (iii) The pT dependent efficiency is applied based on the binomial response to implement the detector effects.

(Efficiency correction and Mixed Events Analysis)
- Suggest to change the title to “Mean pT Distributions and Mixed Events Analysis”
- Change “Efficiency Correction” above the left figure to “Mean pT Distributions”
- “Seems to not…” : This should be discussed based on numbers. Add a corresponding table.
- Add one bullet to explain the procedures for the mixed events (explain the bottom right sketch).

(Results - I)
- Remove “Acceptance specific” and “Collision energy dependence”. Instead, I would suggest to list the eta acceptance above left two figures.
- 1st bullet: This should be discussed based on numbers. Add a corresponding table, or add numbers inside the figure.
- You are comparing the mean and sigma between left two panels and right figures. This is difficult to understand by eyes based on the log-scale plots. I would replace right 4 figures by a table.
- Right panels are taken from [2]?

(References/)
- Remove “/”
- Add page numbers for all references.

(Summary/Outlook)
- 2nd bullet: Elaborate more. Correlations of what? You want to measure pT correlations just because they are robust to detector effects? If you have other motivation to measure pT correlations, I suggest to mention  that, because you’ve already performed efficiency correction in your <pT> fluctuation analysis.

Dear Rutik,

Please find my comments on your nice poster.

Motivation:
Can you add a reference to your figure with QCD phase diagram?

I don’t see reference [3] mentioned anywhere.

Uncertainty estimation an efficiency correction:
Please make sure you define all quantities from the mentioned equation.

Results -II
Finish Thermal FIST part as soon as possible.

All figures: please make consistent your all labels „STAR preliminary”. Choose if you put a text or graphic.

Thanks,
Hanna
