Related to what I've asked you during you talk on the BG correlation
around the page 15-16, since you do measure BG correlation with side-band
region, I would like to see the measured BG correlation function with side-band
overlaid on your right-panel in page 16 in order to compare with the shape
of the measured real/raw correlation as well as the corrected one you show
in page16. So please overlay the BG correlation data with the measured and
corrected data. I would also like to make sure whether you used the measured
BG correlation data points to do your purity correction or you used the fitted
function (I’m guessing this is what you did?) as you showed in the page 15.
If possible, I would also like to see the BG correlation function with a few
different choices for the side-band area as you show in your page 8, since
you could increase the combinatorial BG counts by increasing the Minv region
and by relaxing the topological cuts. Since you do measure the BG correlation
by yourself, I was wondering you could use the data points themselves in stead
of assuming a linear function with f(k*) = a + b k*, if you could measure the
BG correlation with a good accuracy. What do you think?
