Dear Daniel,
Your proceedings are well written and very nicely present your studies.
I don’t have further comments, I sign off.
Thanks,
Hanna

Wiadomość napisana przez Kincses Dániel via Star-cf-l <star-cf-l AT lists.bnl.gov> w dniu 10.01.2024, o godz. 16:20:Dear Nu,
Thanks for the comments!What is unique to this analysis (to the Levy distribution) is not the dependence on centrality, mT, and energy but the extracted source parameters, especially the Levy exponent parameter alpha and the Levy scale parameter R. I included a sentence that lists the investigated parameters, this way the connection to the title is clear.Regarding your second question, please see Figure 1 in the review paper we wrote recently with Máté: https://arxiv.org/pdf/2401.01249.pdf. This small illustration shows that if we take the average of a non-spherical three-D Gaussian, it will look strikingly different from a 1D Levy. Hence, if the 1D measurements are compatible with the Levy assumption, it suggests that a similar non-Gaussian behavior could appear in 3D as well (with very similar alpha, and different radii parameters). What we can learn from the Levy-stable source assumption is, on one hand, the behavior of the alpha parameter (as a function of energy and centrality), which can be connected to different phenomena, including critical behavior and anomalous diffusion (see sections 2 and 4 in the paper). On the other hand, if the size and shape information are entangled, the Levy-scale R might show different trends (see Sections 3,4, and Figures 2,3) as the Gaussian HBT radii as a function of beam energy, both in 1D and in 3D.I hope these answers clear the picture somewhat!
Thanks, best regards,

Tárgy: Re: [Star-cf-l] STAR presentation by Daniel Kincses for CPOD 2024 submitted for reviewHi Daniel,
1) Since the collision energy and centrality dependence and the pair m_T dependence are not unique to the Levy-Stable distribution, I would suggest modify the title to
“Beam-Energy Dependent Pion Interferometry with STAR Experiment”;
2) Comparing to other parameterization, three-D Gaussian source, for example, what do we learn from the Levy-Stable source?
With this I sign off.
Best regards,
Nu
