Dear Chuan,

Extracted, still preliminary parameters of interactions are ok to show. But please stick only to those and do not discuss anything else which is not needed for these parameters.

Thanks,
Hanna

Dear Hanna,

      Yes, this is my misunderstanding.

Thank you for your detailed explanation, and please find my responses below:

Q: Has the physics message changed?

A: For pp and pXi CFs, in previous preliminary results, we did not extract the source-size and FSI parameters,

in latest results, we include them and related physics discusstion.

Q: Does changing the centrality classes or p_t intervals lead to a different interpretation of the physics?

A: Will not changed.

Q: Are there any aspects of the physics that are now included but were not part of the preliminary results?

A: Yes,

For pp and pXi CFs, in previous preliminary results, we did not extract the source-size and FSI parameters,

in latest results, we include them and related physics discusstion.

Q: Do the new results contradict the previous ones?

A: For pp CF, in latest results, the smearing effect was considered reasonably,

the data changed for small k* bin compared to previous preliminary results.

Q: If so, such a scenario would warrant an internal STAR discussion involving our theory colleagues.

A: Yes, we will promise this is an internal STAR discussion involving our theory colleagues.

Q: Ideally, all these aspects should have been thoroughly discussed within the PWG beforehand.

Please provide a clear justification for the physics motivation behind presenting these new results.

A: Yes.

For pp and pXi CFs, in previous preliminary results, we did not extract the source-size and FSI parameters,

in latest results, we include them and related physics discusstion.

If possible, we would like to discuss these results in case that this is an internal STAR discussion involving our theory colleagues.

Q: Let me also remind you that you are still in the phase of internal discussions within the PWG, where your results may change as new checks are performed.

A: Yes, I agree.

Q: Further changes might also arise during the PWGC discussions. Therefore, at this stage, we cannot yet consider these results to be final.

A: Yes, I agree, the reults I show is not final results, I would show these results in case that this is an internal STAR discussion involving our theory colleagues.

Please let me know you have further comments.

Thanks and best regards,

Chuan

Dear Chuan,

It seems there was a misunderstanding. My question was about the motivation for presenting the updated results. Has the physics message changed? Does changing the centrality classes or p_t intervals lead to a different interpretation of the physics? Are there any aspects of the physics that are now included but were not part of the preliminary results? Do the new results contradict the previous ones? If so, such a scenario would warrant an internal STAR discussion involving our theory colleagues.

Ideally, all these aspects should have been thoroughly discussed within the PWG beforehand. Please provide a clear justification for the physics motivation behind presenting these new results.

Let me also remind you that you are still in the phase of internal discussions within the PWG, where your results may change as new checks are performed. Further changes might also arise during the PWGC discussions. Therefore, at this stage, we cannot yet consider these results to be final.

Thanks,
Hanna

Dear Hanna,

      Please find the updated slides:

https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/eTof_BES-II_workshop_Chuan_v2.pdf

The slide 11 and 14 is new preliminary results I want to request this time,

this is not "second" preliminary results since the centrality and pT range are different to

the "first" preliminary results three years ago,

I hope this preliminary result request dose not violate STAR's rules,

since the new preliminary results in my slide 11 and 14 have been discussed many times before,

and have been reviewed by PWGC meeting and agree to move forward,

and I have not time to discuss again the new preliminary results in PWG since my talk was scheduled in tommorrow,

so I hope can get your comments about this preliminary result request by email.

I would say agin the new preliminary results is not "second" preliminary results since the centrality and pT range are different,

and I hope get your comments about this preliminary result request by email,

If you have any comments about my new preliminary results, please let us know.

Thank you and best regards,

Chuan

Hi Chuan,

Two questions:
1. Do you show any result without preliminary labels granted?
2. If so, what is the motivation for eTOF/BES topics to do this?

Thanks,
Hanna

Dear Convenors,

Please find my slides for eTof+BES-II meeting (Thanks very much for Convenor's recommendation):

https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/eTof_BES-II_workShop_Chuan_v1.pdf
My talk is scheduled at 4 Dec. It looks the time is a bit tight (I am sorry).

Please let us know if you have any comments/suggestions.

Best regards,

Chuan
