Comments on the analysis & preliminary approval:

I was looking at you studies:

https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/BullCorr_180820.pdf
https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/Bulkcorr_meeting2.pdf

1. In the abstract you mentioned “of 54.4 GeV (∼1.3 billion events)
and 27 GeV (∼600 million events)”
but I see you only found 600 M for 54.4 and 350M for 27 GeV. Is this
difference caused by some quality cuts or you are on your way to
accumulate more events?

2. Did you consider the effect of pile-up and bad runs. If not, do you
plan to include such in the future analysis?

3. I think the Nhits/hitmax > 0.52 cut can be removed to gain more
statistics for this precision analysis.

4. For 27 GeV analysis, a while ago Risa presented Ψ2 event plane
resolution for her study, can you please cross-check if your
resolution numbers are consistent (at least in the same ballpark) with
what she got:

Dear Prithwish,
Thank you so much for all your comments and suggestions. I have implemented all the corrections in the abstract as suggested by you. Please find my modified abstract in the given link blow

https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/abstract_30.pdf

Below are some clarifications to your comments.
1. In the abstract you mentioned “of 54.4 GeV (∼1.3 billion events) and 27 GeV (∼600 million events)”but I see you only found 600 M for 54.4 and 350M for 27 GeV. Is this difference caused by some quality cuts or you are on your way to accumulate more events?

In the abstract, I have mentioned the total number of events recorded but in presentation those are the number of events after implementation of event cuts.

2. Did you consider the effect of pile-up and bad runs. If not, do you plan to include such in the future analysis?
27 GeV:
Bad runs are removed using Strefmultcorr class and pile event also removed using tofmult and tpcmult correlation plot which is also implemented in the strefmultcorr class for 27 GeV.

54 GeV:
Here also we have removed bad runs and pile-up events based on study done by Shaowei Lan
link: https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/20181017_Centrality.pdf

3. I think the Nhits/hitmax > 0.52 cut can be removed to gain more statistics for this precision analysis.

I will implement this in my future analysis.

4. For 27 GeV analysis, a while ago Risa presented Ψ2 event plane resolution for her study, can you please cross-check if your resolution numbers are consistent (at least in the same ballpark) with what she got.

In the presentation, I have shown the sub event plane resolution. But in the reference it’s the full event plane resolution.

Thank You
Prabhupada Dixit
