Hi Jiangyong,
Nice abstract. This is a very promising but challenging analysis. I agree with ShinIchi on following up a few things regarding the analysis, in particular a closure test to demonstrate the efficiency correction works for higher order moments of pt-fluctuations and vn-pT correlation. It is essential since Gary has been arguing for a long time that correction of <pT> fluctuations is challenging & does not work -- let's get make sure we resolve this (what he did vs. what's new that we're doing now) before showing the results outside.

Following are my comments, with these includes I sign off your abstract.

ubiqutous phonomina --> ubiquitous phenomenon

for atomic nuclei --> for most nuclei

everywhere change: "beween" --> "between"

the deformation has quadrupole shape --> the deformation has a quadrupole shape

with axial and reflection symmetry --> that is axially and refection symmetric

Collisions of deformed nucleus leads --> Collisions of deformed nucleus lead

Significant differences between mean, --> Significant differences for mean,
"between" is repeated in the sentence.

sknewness --> skewness

is used to provide a first estimate of the deformation parameter -->
"can be used to provide direct experimental constraints on β for Uranium nuclei"
or
"provides novel ways to constrain β for Uranium nuclei in heavy ion collisions"

Somewhere it would be good to mention "we compare to state-of-the-art model calculations".

Best,
Prithwish

Hi Shinichi,

Chunjian will request preliminary for his DNP meeting talk, this
abstract is based on what will be shown in that DNP talk.

The efficiency has been applied in the analysis. The momentum
resolution effect should be partially accounted for efficiency
correction.

But we could further check momentum resolution effect with existing
embedding sample later.

Cheers,

Jiangyong

Dear Jiangyong
I would sign off your nice abstract. Is this based on the results
being discussed by Chunjiang in PWG these days? So we would
need to make this as preliminary for the meeting. Did we already
talk
about the effect on the efficiency and/or momentum resolution etc?
Did we see any effect coming from the experimental measurement?
Can we do anything with embedding? Or some full event simulation?
I’m sorry, if we have discussed this in the PWG, I might not
remember.
Best regards, ShinIchi
