STAR Flow, Chirality and Vorticity PWG

Dear ShinIchi, Jiangyong, and Prithwish,
  Could you discuss data taking parasitically at CEC in Run-21? It was 
brought up at convener-management meeting last week. Some conveners 
already left when we discussed this item. It was quite late.

As you know, we took 300M fixed target data at 7.2 GeV parasitically 
during CEC run in Run-20.

We discussed with CAD/CEC experts and it is totally possible to take 
collider data, namely 54 GeV AuAu collisions, parasitically. There is no 
technical difficulty but they need to know STAR's decision asap so that 
they can get paperwork approved in time.

In 2017, we took 800M 54 GeV Au+Au events parasitically during 3-weeks 
CEC running.

Two weeks ago at the closeout, PAC approved 2-week CEC running for 
Run-21 and another two weeks for Run-22. If you add them together, that 
is 4-week CEC running.

We can either take a high-statistics 54 GeV with a better detector 
(iTPC, eTOF, and EPD now in place, but not in Run-2017) or continue to 
take 7.2 GeV data which will also have high-statistics.

What would be the interest from fcv group?

We need to have an answer before RHIC retreat, which will be held on Oct 
15.
