Hello Yicheng,
Here are my comments to you nice slides -- with these included I sign off your talk.

General: I would avoid terminologies that are intrinsic to STAR collaboration such as "StRefMultCorr" etc.

slide#3: "detected by TOF" --> "using TOF+TPC"
slide#4: "topologic" --> "topological"
slide#6: "is still mixed by the signal and background" --> "contains a mixture of signal and background"
slide#7: "can calculte" --> "can be used to get"
slide#7: It is not clear what you mean by "and k ≠ 1 cases from R^{sub}_{n1}[2]."

slide#8:
"To make connection from our observed ∆N^{obs} to true Λ (Λ¯) handedness, detector effects and decay angular distribution need to be considered."
-->
"To make connection from the observed to the true Λ (Λ¯) handedness, detector effects and decay angular distribution need to be considered. In this exploratory study we will only consider the observed difference between the number of left and right handed Lambdas(Anti-Lambdas)=∆N^{obs}"

slide#9:
"∆N event average" --> "∆N^{obs} event average"

slide#9:
I think you should revise the bullets and add the simple equation that you use to correct for background (the one you showed in the backup slides during PWG meeting). I believe this will bring more clarity and save you time.

slide#9:
"uncertainties largely correlated, and canceled on signal"
-->
"uncertainties are correlated and largely cancel for signal"

slide#10:
"should not produce physics correlations"
-->
"should not affect the physics correlations between ∆N^{obs} and Δa_1"

slide#10:
I don't think you can refer to a bulkcorr talk here. Remove the link and say "Cartoon: Joseph Adams, Quark Matter 2019". Also crop the figure to remove the lower part where it says "bulkcorr meeting"

slide#11 and Eq.5:
Note that you already defined "Δa_1" on slide#2, make sure this equation does not lead to confusion. Unfortunately, I have no better suggestion on this.

slide#12 & 13:
"The signal is consistent with zero" --> "The signal is consistent with zero within the current uncertainties"

Best,
Prithwish

Hi ShinIchi,

Thank you for your comments.

For the ~2sigma deviation in 50-60%,
I think I can mention this in the talk, as it is.
For safety, I prefer not to draw any conclusion from this single
datapoint.

For the DN vs. a1+ and a1- separately,
I don't have the results for now, but I submitted jobs in RCF to get
this information.
Hopefully, I could give an update in the coming PWG meeting this
Wednesday.

For your question "_Nobody have ever looked this in 200GeV AuAu,
yet?_",
For now, this analysis is only conducted in Run18AuAu27GeV.
At 200 GeV the polarization is smaller so it may be difficult.
But it doesn't hurt to look at 200 GeV data as well.

As instructed by you, I made a blog for my preliminary summary:
https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/blog/fengyich/dnp2020-preliminary-plots-ebye-corr-btw-lam-handedness-and-cme-run18auau27gev

including the slides and all the STAR preliminary plots (.jpg and
.png).

I also updated the slides
(EbyeCorrLamPolCME_DNP2020talk_YichengFeng_v3.pdf [1]) to
https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/node/52374

There are only three small changes:
(1) backup removed,
(2) "Run18, Au+Au, \sqrt{s_{NN}}=27GeV" added to all preliminary
plots,
(3) The sequence in Eq.5 is rearranged (the first equal sign moved to
the third).

Sincerely,
Yicheng

Dear Yicheng

After you prepare the preliminary summary page with all your
preliminary plots to be linked
at special drupal area for the preliminary location with necessary
information at :
https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/pwg/bulk-correlations/bulkcorr-preliminary-summary

then I would approve your talk.
Best regards, ShinIchi

Dear Yicheng
I would sign off your nice talk with a few comments.

You have chosen to say no signal for both 10-50% and 0-80%,
which we all agree, but I would say there is one “2-sigma”
signal
deviation point at 50-60%...

For your future PWG presentation, could you also please show
us just with Lambda (or anti-Lambda) as well as just with a+ (or
a-) in stead of Delta_a (a+ and a- combined), the signal could
be there in any of these covariances.

Nobody have ever looked this in 200GeV AuAu, yet?
Best regards, ShinIchi
