Dear Egor
The update was after (or around) the QM19 time, so all the figures for
the QM19 were made with the old constants, if I remember correctly.
If you see the Kosuke’s 7GeV FXT preliminary figure in the SQM slide,
where he has re-scaled all the old points including his own point, while
he applied only for his points but not for the old points in the preliminary area.
The re-scaling has bee applied in the Xi paper and being done for the 3GeV
FXT paper. So if you have done that correctly for your own data and on the
previous data, it looks like there is no problem at all. Then you can just make
it clear on your slide by indicating the parameter value inside the figure.
Thank you very much for the confirmation.
Best regards, ShinIchi

Thank you for your reply.
For this preliminary results I've taken QM-2019 presentation results: https://indico.cern.ch/event/792436/contributions/3535689/attachments/1939459/3215202/DifferentialMeasurementsAndSearchForMagneticField_v11.pdf (27 slide)
And points from this picture were rescaled using new decay parameters for my ICPPA-2020 presentation and for this HADRON-2021 presentation.
It looks like that values in Kosuke's SQM presentation are similar with what I've got here, but I'll look at this more precisely
Thank you,

Thanks for the nice presentation. I’m also fine with your slides
to be signed off after taking Prithwish’s comments into account.
I just wanted to make sure whether your Polarization definition uses
the updated decay parameter alpha or not, please make it clear in the
slide. If you just use the old figure from the published paper, it might
be OK as it was, but if you add your new points on the previous
measurements, please make sure you use the same definition
and print the alpha value on the figure. You could also see what
Kosuke has for his preliminary in the last QM19 at 54GeV, where
you see his resolution and correlation between event plane
between inner/outer BBC as well as ZDC etc at the preliminary page :
https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/pwg/bulk-correlations/bulkcorr-preliminary-summary
Kosuke might also have the same problem, that needs to be fixed
in some of his preliminary figures in this place, that I would also need
to make sure with him, too. But for the recent PPGs from STAR,
we have agreed to mention the alpha value always in each plot.
So I would do the same for the preliminary figures, in order to avoid
any confusion in the future.

Hello Egor,
Sorry for the delay. Very nice slides. Here are my comments. With these included I sign-off.
Preliminary approval :
1. All plots: The axes labels, tics and legends on your plots are too small to see.
2. Preliminary plot on resolution: Particularly the rising part for BBC -- is this consistent with what other see? I know Kosuke and Kishora looked at 54 GeV data. For example can you please check if your results compare to what was shown here:
https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/polarization_tpc.pdf
3. Preliminary plot on Ξ mass:
Somewhere you have to write it's for Ξ -> Λ + π
You can write: M_{inv} [ Ξ -> Λ + π ] or something like that.
Is this for Ξ or Ξ-bar or sum ? You have mention that.
4. Preliminary plot on EP method:
What is Δφ^{*} is not specified. Is this the x-axis then write Δφ^{*}=Ψ_1 - φ^* in the x-axis label.
5. Preliminary plot on Energy dependence:
"STAR Preliminary" is missing.
In the legend you write "Preliminary" but I think you have to say "STAR Preliminary" there.
Talk approval:
slide#4:
emitted in --> emitted along
slide#4:
Ψ_1 and it's resolution --> Ψ_1 and its resolution
slide#4:
The figures need reference
slide#4:
Here you have to say for Ξ, in some cases you measure the polarization using two methods: "via decay Λ daughter" and "via direct method".
slide#5 (optional comment):
Ξ polarization may provide new input for global polarization and vorticity studies
-->
Global polarization Ξ may provide new insights on vorticity studies in heavy ion collisions
slide#6:
Did you miss "Event Plane Detector" ? You used EPDs for 27 GeV analysis right ?
slide#7:
"Event plane Ψ_1 can be measured spectators signal at high-rapidity detectors"
-->
"Event plane Ψ_1 can be measured by detectors at forward rapidity where directed flow is large"
slide#7:
To define "Resolution" you write "EPD" but for 54 GeV you use BBCs this can create a confusion. Also, East and West are STAR convention. How about Ψ_{1,Forward η} and Ψ_{1, Backward η}?
And then somewhere on slide#7 you have to write that you use EPD, BBC, ZDC.
Did you use KF-particles ? If yes it would be good to mention it here.
slide#7:
labels and legends on the plots are very difficult to see.
slide#8: Define Δφ^*.
slide#9:
"polarization congruence at difference collision energies"
You see congruence of what with what?
Did you mean Ξ results show congruence with Λ results ?
Best,
Prithwish

As we discussed, it would be nice to increase event plane resolution
with weightnings and combining detectors. But, as you know, there is
a lack of CPU resources now, so I won't be able to do all needed
calculations before this conference.
Will it be okay to show energy-dependent results only for now, which
corresponds with previously shown Quark-Matter preliminaries for
Lambda global polarization?
And when I'll prepare new Event Planes I'd be able to ask
preliminaries for Xi global polarization centrality dependence?
We could discuss it at an upcoming pwg meeting, or just by mail.
Thank you,
Egor Alpatov
