Hi Subhash, Prithwish, Jiangyong,

 

I know Prithwish doesn't like it, but we'd like to have the Ntrk line drawn on the plots in Yicheng's poster: https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/QM2022PosterSlides_YichengFeng_v24.pdf

 

In the introduction part, we have the plot from the paper with the only addition of the Ntrk line. This is because we have the following bullets in the introduction:

▶ The main reason that the isobar ratio of ∆γ/v2 is less than unity is because

of the multiplicity difference.

▶ The better quantity is N ∆γ/v2. Its naive background baseline is unity.

▶ Isobar data are above this naive baseline

We really need that line to make those points.

 

In the summary, we have quoted the numbers:

"New isobar baseline (N ∆γ/v∗2 )Ru(N ∆γ/v∗2 )Zr ≈ (1.013 ± 0.003 ± 0.005) for full-event, (1.011 ± 0.005 ± 0.005) for sub-event."

So we also add the right axis with axis values. I think this makes things a lot easier to explain.

 

I understand Prithwish's concern, and I'm fine with him not showing the line in the overview talk, but I do think we should have it in the poster. This is not a change in any data points, only the way to improve the conveyance of the plot. So I hope it can be approved.
