Dear FCV,

As you may be aware of, there is a recent preprint arXiv:2203.10029 by STAR collaborators put on the arXiv claiming CME signal from STAR’s isobar data, by scaling the data out of some spurious correlation. This will potentially cause great confusion to the community (again!) and could affect the publication process of our future STAR isobar papers. So I decided to put out a comment on it to point out where the problem is. It is on the arXiv now: arXiv:2204.08450. It should be accessible even if you’re not a CME expert. You are welcome to check it out and send me any comments you may have.
