Dear Xiaoyu,

Thanks for these corrections. Since there are no further comments, I am sending it to star-talk. Good luck!

Thanks and regards,
Subhash

Dear Xiaoyu,

Thanks for your response and the updated slides. I sign off with one
comment:

please indicate Au+Au 27 GeV somewhere in the figures on slides 3,
9-13.

Thanks and regards,
Subhash

Hello Subhash,

Thanks for your helpful suggestions. I have implemented all of them
and uploaded the new version under the same link:

Specifically, I modified the following pages to explain things more
clearly.

s#5: Could you indicate where Mip enters into v1 calculation, as a
weight?

nMIP (calibrated ADC) don't enter v1 calculations as weights; only
iMIPweights in the fitting parameters are used as weights to
calculate
dN/ddeltaphi and v1 is extracted from the Fourier decomposition of
dN/ddeltaphi. I added one more slide to explain how the ADC spectrum
is related to the number of MIPs. Hope it helps, please let me know
if
it answers your question.

s#8-9: After the iteration steps, is there tolerance level to choose
v1_output = v1_meas, I mean do you require them to be identical or
within a tolerance limit e.g. ~ 5% level.

I don't require them to be identical but it is also hard to quantify
the consistency since some v1 points are very close to zero so it's
hard to calculate any ratios. The standard I used is to stop
iterations when
∑𝜂(𝑣1out(𝜂)−𝑣1measure(𝜂))/(𝑣1measure(𝜂))
stops decreasing. At some point, the consistency just stops
increasing
so the iterations are ended.

s#9: These figures and legends hard to read. Could you enlarge them?

Instead of showing four iterations at the same time on one slide,
now
I am showing them successively on four slides.

Thanks,
Xiaoyu

Dear Xiaoyu,

Nice slide. I have a few suggestions for your consideration:

s#2: "Problems to solve" --> Do you mean these potential issues in
v1
analysis using EPD?
Then, I suggest a rephrase "Potential issues in v1 measurement"

s#3: Correct the typo in title.
Resolution figure: Could you add Psi_1 resolution, add beam energy
and

data set.

s#5: Could you indicate where Mip enters into v1 calculation, as a
weight?

s#6,7,8: Could you add beam energy, dataset on the figure. Add
Y-axis

label for the bottom panels.

s#8-9: After the iteration steps, is there tolerance level to choose
v1_output = v1_meas, I mean do you require them to be identical or
within a tolerance limit e.g. ~ 5% level.

s#9: These figures and legends hard to read. Could you enlarge them?

s#11: Comparison with PHOBOS

s#12: "Problems solved" --> I suggest "Issues addressed"
It would be good to add v1(eta) measured within 10 units in rapidity
(~
+/-5)

Outlook: Instead of 19.6 GeV, I would suggest other BES-II energies.

Thanks and regards,
Subhash
