Dear All,
We are going to have our weekly FCV PWG meeting this Wednesday
(31/August/2022) at 9:30 AM EDT. If you would like to present please
let us know. Please try posting your slides by Tuesday. The agenda
items will be collected at:
https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/blog/jjiastar/bulkcorr
A couple of general items for discussion:
1) LRP STAR white papers: one for Cold QCD and one for Hot QCD (see
Rongrong's email from Sept 2nd)
You're probably aware of the STAR LRP meeting page that happened a
couple of weeks ago:
https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/event/2022/08/22/LRP-planning-STARRHIC
STAR has a plan to write up a white paper. On behalf of FCV we need to
prepare the first draft (2-3) pages by Sep. 7-9, which will be then sent
to the collaboration for comments during the weekend before the
collaboration meeting. We will need to have the white papers ready by
Sep. 21st.
Since this is an important topic, we encourage you to join meeting and
participate in the discussion.
2) Contributions for the STAR collaboration meeting (FCV sessions on 13
& 14th Sept):
A preliminary agenda can be found here:
https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/conference/timetable/talk/60318
Thanks to everyone who has already sent a request for a time slot.
Please take a look at the agenda and let us know if we've missed your
request.
All the analyzers from our group are encouraged to report the status of
their
analysis (even if the progress is minimal) at the FCV session of the
collaboration meeting during September 13-14. Please respond to our
email on 18th August. If you have new results to be presented at the
upcoming conferences or updates on your paper plans etc, please also
give an update on your status.
Note: If you have submitted an abstract for an upcoming conference, we
would like to request you to brief us on the strategy for delivering the
promised results. You are welcome to ask for a time slot at the
collaboration meeting.
Thanks and regards,
Jiangyong, Prithwish and Subhash
