Dear Zhiwan,
Your talk draft looks very good. Please consider my comments below. With these included I sign off your talk.
slide#2: "Chiral Magnetic Effects" -> "Chiral Magnetic Effect"
slide#2: "cos(\phi_1 - 3\phi_2 + 2\Psi)" --> "cos(\phi_1 - 3\phi_2 + 2\Psi_RP)"
Optional comment but this will improve the clarity:
I think we should replace \Psi with \Psi_RP on slide#2 and later on specify that you use \Psi_2 or \Psi_1 from EPDs.
And then somewhere you can add:
"We use three proxies for \Psi_RP
\Psi_RP = \Psi_2 (TPC, 0.55<|\eta|<1)
\Psi_RP = \Psi_2 (EPDs, 2.1<|\eta|<3.4)
\Psi_RP = \Psi_1 (EPDs, 3.8<|\eta|<5.1)"
slide#3: "ESS" --> "Event Shape Selection (ESS)"
slide#4: What you call as pair is not clear. Here are some suggestions:
"two particle's momenta" --> "momenta of any two particles to mimic the resonance decay kinematics: p(pair) = p(track 1) + p(track 2)"
slide#6: "non-flows in peripheral events are" --> "short-range nonflow contribution is significantly"
slide#9: Minor revision necessary:
"In aid with EPD, non-flow background in \Delta\gamma_{ESS}^{112} are suppressed" --> "We use EPD in aid of nonflow background suppression in \Delta\gamma_{ESS}^{112}"
slide#11: "non-flow" --> "nonflow", "contribute" --> "contribute to"
slide#12:
"Event shape selection successfully suppressed v_2 related backgrounds" --> "We demonstrate that event shape selection (ESS) approach substantially suppresses (by ~70%) v_2 related backgrounds"
It is not clear what you mean by this sentence:
"With POI from TPC, EPD EPs are effective for shape selection to search for CME"
How about:
"The choice of POI from TPC and EPD EPs is very effective for ESS to search for CME"
Best,
Prithwish
