I am delighted to see that your study is taking shape for publication. I'd like to reiterate a comment that I have made on a few occasions, most recently at the collaboration meeting.

If we consider the resonance v2 as a source of background, which is itself a subtle issue that probably requires further debate, we must also consider the global spin alignment of the rho meson as background. There is convincing evidence that the global spin alignment can cause an apparent CME effect, similar to v2.

As we currently do not have robust/accurate measurement of the global spin alignment in Ru/Zr, this issue cannot be adequately addressed at present. For your manuscript, the easiest approach would be to state that the current work assumes that the global spin alignment of the rho meson between Ru and Zr is the same.
