Hi, Fuqiang :

So I guess we don't have ZDC data and low mass data ?

Thanks,
Aihong

Hi Aihong,

Zhiwan's rationale to include only the ZDC data on the final plot was that those data are presumably all void of nonflow contamination. Alternatively, the TPC data and the low mass data could also be included on this plot in order to be complete. I'd prefer the latter, but Zhiwan is giving the talk so she has to be the one to make this call.

Best regards,
Fuqiang

Hi, Han-Sheng :

Thanks for the clarification. So the invMass selection is not reflected in the final plot. It is a bit confusing as at one place we highlighted the advantage of the invMass technique but then later on the money plot we avoided of using it.

But it is ok, I at least understand what you actually did.

Thanks,
Aihong

The ESE data point comes from the red point on the right-hand side plot (ZDC EP) on slide 8. The data point is the y-intercept over inclusive mass regions so we do not add invM cut on it.

The POIs are hadrons with assumed mass equal to pion mass because we have not applied any PID cuts on those tracks.

Thanks for your comments.

Han-Sheng

Dear star-fcv-l AT lists.bnl.gov members,

Comment:
Hi, Zhiwan/Han-sheng :
On slide 13, does the ESE have an invariant mass cut to select low invM
region ? If so, can we add the invM cut to the legend ?  Also, In the legend
shouldn't the "h-h" for ESE be labeled as "pi-pi" because you now calculate
invMass so I assume you analyze pions instead of charged hadrons. Similar
comment on slide 8 & 9.
Thanks,
Aihong
