Hi Gavin,
Thanks for the nice presentation with many details. Sorry, I could not attend your talk at the PWG meeting last week. Could please answer a few questions I have on your slides?

S8: Why is the input phi distribution flat in rapidity? Is this a reasonable choice at these low energies? Did you have any evaluation of systematic uncertainty if you input a rapidity dependent distribution? I had asked this before, but did not get a response from you
S8: Do you have an acceptance plot in pT - rapidity for the reconstructed phi mesons?

S15: From what I understand from your back up slide (S.25), the error band on the theory curve is from the uncertainties on rho_00 measurements in the data. In that case, the band can be misleading, particularly as the BES-I uncertainties were large. Do you know if the lower end of the error band corresponds to the lower end of variation in data? Can we get a set of values for the curve from the theorists for +-2 sigma range from BES-I of rho_00s (at least of rho_00^y), so that we can update the curve with the uncertainties and values corresponding to BES-II measurements? (My point is we should get the calculations without telling the theorists what our BES-II measurements are, and I know the data points are different from our Preliminary for BES-II)

S13: With the BES-II data, can we extend the measurements to lower pT? At LHC, rho_00 < 1/3 was observed for low pT, do we also see similar trend at lower energies at RHIC? What is the reason for stopping at 1.5 GeV/c?

thanks
Sooraj

Dear Gavin,

Unfortunately I was not able to attend the meeting. I looked through your slides but could not find answers to several important (from my point of view) questions:
- Did you try to get an efficiency for phi reconstruction as a function of the relative angle of one of the daughters to the phi momentum?
- What values of phi v2(pt) were used?
- How large is the effect of elliptic flow "entanglement" with the efficiency to rho00 calculations? (again you can see my presentation, if it is not clear what I mean here).

best regards,
Sergei

Dear Conveners,

I would like to present some slides at this week’s meeting regarding a paper proposal titled: “Differential measurements of φ-meson global spin alignment in Au+Au collisions at RHIC”.

Best,
Gavin
