STAR Flow, Chirality and Vorticity PWG

Dear All,
In this week's FCV meeting, we would like to have the following as the 
first item on the agenda: We need your feedback on our trigger input for 
Run 24, which will start in mid-April. The trigger board wants our input 
by March 4th. Here are our proposals:

1. Au+Au minbias trigger: Same ZDC MB trigger as in Run 23, with 
crossing angle and low-luminosity run. FTS in low-multiplicity events. 
Physics: azimuthal correlation, longitudinal decorrelation, 
hyperon-polarization, CME, and J/ψ spin-alignment.

2. Photonuclear trigger: Same phn-xN1N-E/W and phnE/W-mb-mon triggers as 
in Run 23, with no prescale and minimum combined rate of 100 Hz. 
Physics: azimuthal correlations in photonuclear events.

3. p+p high multiplicity trigger: Low luminosity run (duration to be 
determined), TOF/EPD/BBC high multiplicity trigger, FTS in these events, 
crossing angle to reduce pileup & narrow Vz distribution. Physics: 
collectivity search, forward-backward asymmetry, nonflow effects.

4. Possible p+Au run trigger: We need to revisit this possibility in 
FCV. Mike and Joey had discussed this before. Physics: polarization, 
collectivity.

This is very important for the future of the physics program from our 
group and beyond, and we would request you to kindly join and share your 
thoughts. We want to finalize our input and present it to the trigger 
board on March 4th.
