Dear convenors and all,

There are two versions of the sqrt(s_NN) = 3.2 GeV FXT dat (production_4p59GeV_fixedTarget_2019); one is the P21id version, and the other is the P23id.

For the P21id version, the TPC calibration was not ideal for the proton:  which requires bin-bin correction, as shown in the figure below:

For the P23id version, the TPC calibration and the EPD calibration are updated, where the quality of the nSigmaProton is improved in the P23id version compared to the plot above -

This would make it seem that analyzers should just move on to the P23id version. Whereas Yue figures that for the P23id version, there is an inconsistency in the coverage of the phase space for helium-3

"The difference is coming from cluster size in time buckets (min = 3.5, max=16.5) from TpcnTbk table"

For the coming conferences like CPOD, I believe we can pick either production we are currently working on.

The question is for future publication and other analyses, which version would be suitable to choose, is it gonna be case by case, or working group pick one production for all analyses? More specifically, for light nuclei with helium-3 and above, which production would you like to recommend? I can make a presentation at FCV on Wednesday so we can discuss this if needed.

Please let me know if you have any comments, suggestions, or questions.

Best regards,
Ding
