Dear ShinIchi,

Thanks for your suggestions! We will add these into checking plan. After finishing, we can discuss in FCV meeting.

Best regards,
Tan

Dear Tan
In addition to what we have discussed yesterday in fcv meeting on daughter kinematics cut
coming from improved acceptance of iTPC (although you are applying the efficiency correction
of lambda...), I would like to remind you what I would like to suggest a few tests with full EPD
event plane with a best possible resolution.

(1) We try to measure v1 of lambda with the full EPD plane, we could even choose/adjust
the event plane resolution (to make the corrected v1 result same as the current one), if we
trust the current v1 result using EPD sub region. If they are different (or if we need to adjust),
we need to keep this in mind in the next step.)
(2) We try to measure polarization with the full EPD plane, using the resolution that gives
the consistent v1 results, in order to check whether we also see the consistent polarization
compared to the current one with the EPD sub region.
(3) You have already shown us the (event plane) ring dependence of the polarization, which
is mostly flat and consistent, so we might already know what we expect from (1) and (2).
For that confirmation, I was also asking you to do the same for ring dependence of v1
measurement.

The reason behind these tests is because the momentum conservation would affect largely
on v1 measurement, while I would expect it is not much on polarization measurement.
Thank you very much for your very nice and important studies. I’m hoping the hard cuts on
the daughter kinematics might answer the reason of the current discrepancy between run18
and run21. Thanks again for the nice work.
Best regards, ShinIchi
