News:
1. A F2F meeting will take place at BNL in the morning on August 8. The 
currently scheduled talks include 1) overview by Zhenyu 2) mechanical 
structure by Yi 3) integration by Rahul. 
2. Rahul’s intern student (Cameron Weber) gave a presentation at this week’s 
Forward upgrade meeting on FST integration. 

Mechanical structure
Yi: Signed the contract with the company to produce the mechanical structure. 
The company will first make a couple of modules using different materials to 
establish the production capability and then produce the actual modules with 
PEEK+CF. The latter will take 30 days and is expected to be available in 
early September. 
Yi will provide the cooling tube numbers and dimensions for integration 
discussion.

Module Assembly and Testing
Andres: 10 APV chips were wire-bonded onto an IST (2 chips) and FST inner (4) 
and outer (4) hybrids at UIC NCF. Good news is that two chips on the FST 
outer hybrid showed expected behaviors in pedestal. But the other chips do 
not, which might be due to issues in wire-bonding, chip or hybrid. 

Simulation
Techuan: tracking code is not working after some updates to the DEV by S&C. 
Daniel is in contact with S&C to resolve the issue. 
Krishan: reported on the results he got by running the codes he got from 
Daniel. He will try to understand what the codes are doing. He has also 
results from different hit position uncertainties (1um->1mm->1cm) but did not 
have time to prepare the slides.
