Minutes for today’s meeting

Hamamatsu Silicon sensors
Zhenyu - received 8+12 baby sensors from Hamamatsu last Thursday. Measured IV 
and CV curves for a couple of them. There are something that is not 
understood, such as InnerSensor Chip1 has developed a much higher leakage 
current than the OuterSensor Chip1. It is suspected that this could be due to 
mis-handling of the InnerSensor Chip1 during the test, or the storage. Will 
investigate more into this and measure more sensors. 

Hybrid, Hybrid and Inner Signal cables
Mike, Qian, Yi - Confirmed the plan for prototypes as described in an earlier 
email sent to the FST list. Yi asked whether he could get more hybrids which 
may be needed for initial setup of gluing hybrids onto Mechanical structure. 
He will discuss with AIDC about the latter and come back with a more 
definitive idea. 

Mechanical structure 
Yi - Has sent a 3D-printed module to Zhenyu and should arrive next week. NCKU 
has not signed the contract with Easton (company making the Mechanical 
structure) but expected to do so in 1-2 days. AIDC started looking into 
bending tubes. Yi looked into radiation hardness of the EPDM tubes online. He 
will try to complete the document for Mechanical structure, which will be 
useful for future references, and reviews. 

Simulation
Te-Chuan: trying to include cooling tubes into the GEANT model. 
Krishan: get efficiency plots and discuss with Daniel about these results. He 
will prepare a presentation on these results and how he gets them for the 
next FST meeting
Daniel: The old tracking code is not working after DEV got recompiled in 
June. It is agreed that it will be good to keep this option and Daniel will 
contact the S&C to resolve the issue. Daniel will also try to immigrate his 
new tracking code into StRoot so that other people can take a look and run 
it. Daniel plans to give a presentation at the next forward upgrade or FST 
meeting on the track (hit) finding algorithm and performance in p+p and 
Au+Au.
