Hi Zhenyu,
There is no real hazard difference, and the limits as we discussed are at least 200 V (set by the capacitor rating on the hybrid). But, cables are typically rated at 150 V or 300 V and if you intend to run more than 150 V we'll have to convince the safety committee that our cable, which has no official UL rated voltage on its spec sheet, is equivalent to one rated for 300 V. It'll be simpler if we don't have to do that, I guess.

Hi Gerard,
I hope we don’t need to use more than 150V but I don’t know it for sure yet.
We have taken two relatively large cosmic data at 70 and 140V for the outer
sensor. Need to take such data at a higher voltage to compare. We have been
able to evaluate the inner sensor yet.
It will be useful indeed to get a clear understanding of the limit of our
current cables, connectors, and electrical boards (including hybrid).
Thanks and Best,
Zhenyu

hi Zhenyu, Mike,
I think if it is believed that the installed detector will need to be
biased at over 150 V we're better look into this with the cable. Zhenyu, what is
your latest thinking on the real bias voltage? Mike, if >150 V please look
for some commercial standard cables of comparable construction that carry a UL
300 V rating.
Thanks,
Gerard
