Minutes:
Attendees: Daniel, Elke, Flemming, Han-Sheng, Jianing, John, Krishan, Maowu,
Prithwish,Te-Chuan, Xu, Yi, Zhenyu
0. Follow up on action items from last week
1) send diameter and bending radius to Rahul - Mike [Done]
2) send latest SolidWork drawings of FST modules and disks to John and Rahul
- Yi/Han-Sheng [Done]
3) Rahul will contact NLSL to if 50% or more time of a designer is available
[Waiting for answer]
4). Identify and agree on which features on the backside of the hybrids to
position the hybrids before picking them up. These features should be
included in the hybrid measurements at SDU - Yi/Hansheng, Jianing/Maowu [Will
do this week]
5). Provide a detailed document of the procedure and requirements of gluing
hybrids onto MS - Yi/Han-Sheng [Will do this week]
6). Define which pins/pads to measure for electrical tests after mounting
components onto the MS - Jianing, Yi [Done]
7) send a T-board and cable to NCKY to check if there is any conflict with
the MS - Zhenyu [Will do when campus is reopen]
1. Electrical test of hybrid after mounting components - Jianing
All agreed with the proposal by Jianing. It is also agreed to unplug and plug
the connectors a couple of times before the test
2. Mechanical structures - Yi
EASTON Purchased 5kG material from Europe, can make a few MS. Is studying the
material by the cooling jig. Will take 1-2 weeks to make the new mold
3. Prototype assembly and test - Xu
Preliminary results of cosmic data available. The FST phi resolution is
consistent with expectation. Detection efficiency is above 90%. Looking into
possible cross-talks among r-strips
4. Tracking studies
Action items:
1) Krishan will reproduce the results of Daniel’s shown at the F2F meeting.
And will work on varying the number of r/phi segments
2) Daniel will contact Rahul to understand the constraints on varying the
z-positions of FST disks
3) Te-Chuan will finalize the documentation for FST geometry modeling, and
will transfer the responsibility of FST software contact while helping the
new person to make new FST models with 500micron thick Silicon sensors to
evaluate the consequences
