Minutes
********** 0. Follow up on action items from last week
1) Rahul will contact NLSL to if 50% or more time of a designer is available
-> A new designer will start on April 13. no need for NLSL engineer for fSTAR
anymore
2) Identify and agree on which features on the backside of the hybrids to
position the hybrids before picking them up. These features should be
included in the hybrid measurements at SDU - Yi/Hansheng, Jianing/Maowu
-> Yi will discuss with Jianing and report next week
3) Provide a detailed document of the procedure and requirements of gluing
hybrids onto MS - Yi/Han-Sheng
-> will send the drawings to company on Wednesday after the meeting tomorrow
with them
-> will provide document in a week
4) send a T-board and cable to NCKY to check if there is any conflict with
the MS - Zhenyu
-> will do when campus is reopen
5) Krishan will reproduce the results of Daniel’s shown at the F2F meeting.
And will work on varying the number of r/phi segments
-> Krishan can reproduce Daniel's results, will show PYTHIA-based studies on
Forward upgrade meeting tomorrow. He will work on the number of r/phi
segments and Z-locations later
6) Daniel will contact Rahul to understand the constraints on varying the
z-positions of FST disks
-> Rahul is looking at models and will provide answers in the next few days
7) Te-Chuan will finalize the documentation for FST geometry modeling, and
will transfer the responsibility of FST software contact while helping the
new person to make new FST models with 500micron thick Silicon sensors to
evaluate the consequences
-> Te-Chuan will try to finish the documentation before Wednesday
8) SDU measure hybrid flatness and dimensions
-> Jianing went back to Qingdao. Will have access to SDU lab after 2 week's
quarantine to start with the measurements
********** 1. Integration - Rahul
was able to get the model on the computer, started working on putting
detailed design together based on conceptual one which was made by the
student. Is remaking all the components to make sure everything work. Also
looked into Flemming's document, need to look at partitions of G10 plates
covering the cone inside TPC, and see how to blow air from east (currently
from west)
********** 2. Mechanical structure - Yi
Mechanical structure: EASTON got 5kg PEEK last week and will try with the new
cooling jig this week.
- new mold status/plan?
Mounting Hybrid:
Plan A with NTU: applied for work permit, will hear decision in 1-2 days. A
new RA started working on labview program and may start working at NTU next
week
Plan B with AIDC: consider adding holes/pins for hybrid-MS alignment. Discuss
with Jianing and AIDC for new hybrid/MS design
Action items:
1) Yi will ask EASTOn for the status of the new injection mold
2) continue discuss with SDU and AIDC for mounting hybrid plan B
********** 3. Prototype module assembly and test - Xu
Updated the offline analysis software while taking more comics data last
week. Will show new results next meeting
********** 4. Tracking studies - Krishan
Krishan can reproduce Daniel's results, will show PYTHIA-based studies on
Forward upgrade meeting tomorrow.
Action items: Krishan will work on varying the FST Z-locations, and the
number of r/phi segments
