Integration - Rahul
Felix started last week, working on new ideas for the parts in the supporting
cone, may have some updates next week

Hybrid - Maowu
National holidays in China this week

Mechanical structure - Yi
1) New MS will be finished by EASTON this Friday.
2) Discussion with the company to measure the MS surface flatness and
parallelness still on-going. But plan to take the new MS to the company next
Monday/Tuesday for measurement
3) Some parts of the jigs for NTU assembly will be finished by this
Wednesday. The other parts may finish next Tuesday.
4) Has requested a company to mount connectors onto hybrid, informed the
company that they need to manually mount the other components after hybrids
are glued onto MS.

NTU assembly - Pu-Kai
1) writing Labview codes for controlling the instruments at NTU for assembly
2) will test different glue patterns
3) will have a meeting this Thursday with the PI of the lab at NTU about the
schedule and how to share with other projects
4) will measure the relative position of the hybrids w.r.t. MS (mounting
holes) at NTU

Prototype module test - Xu
1) significant time-bin dependence of total noise. Waiting for Gerard’s
further response and instruction
2) significant reduction in noise level after common mode noise subtraction

FST tracking - Krishan/Daniel
1) varied Z locations, but no hits for Z>200cm. (Flemming: Likely 200cm is
outside of the FST mother volume. Need to change it as well)
2) newest FST geometry makes the GenFit very slow ~10s compared to several
ms for the previous version. Unclear which changes between the two versions
of the geometry and which of them is responsible. In discussion with Jason
(Zhenyu: keep Flemming in the discussion)

FST simulation - Shenghui
1) followed Te-Chuan’s instructions in running simulation. No issue
2) will follow Daniel’s instructions on track reconstruction

*** Action items ***
1) Document the procedure and requirements of gluing hybrids onto MS for Plan
A at NTU - Yi/Han-Sheng
2) Document the procedure and requirements of gluing hybrids onto MS for Plan
B by AIDC. This is needed before new hybrid production - Yi/Han-Sheng
3) Document on how/where the company would measure the surface flatness and
being parallel between inner-outer sectors, before and after glueing hybrids
and inner-outer sectors together - Yi/Han-Sheng
4) Look into checking radiation tolerance of cooling soft tubes in
STAR/Taiwan - Flemming/Yi
5) Find out how the company would fix the hybrid and measure its flatness and
thickness - Maowu/Jianing
6) UIC send a T-board and cable to NCKU to check if there is any conflict
with the MS - Zhenyu
7) Looking into alternative clustering algorithm to improve matching
efficiency - Xu
8) Tune the timing setting for ADC sampling - Gerard/Xu
9) Studying the tracking performance by varying the Z-locations of FST disks,
and number of r/phi segments - Krishan/Daniel
10) Looking into FST simulation and track reconstruction with Te-Chuan and
Daniel’s code/instruction - Shenghui
