Hi Zhenyu and all,
I am very sorry that I missed the FST meeting yesterday due to some family/baby issues.
Please find the brief updates from NCKU group below:
- Not much progress last week due to the long holidays in Taiwan and the NTU Lab was doing regular maintenance.
- New module FST_004 is assembling, the module will be ready for mounting components by this Friday.
- It probably will take several days to mount components due to my shared engineers recently overloading.
- We expect to send the FST_004 to Zhenyu earlier next week.
- Soft tube test: one sample is finished and the other is ongoing.
- Documentation: I will restart to work on it on Wednesday when I get my computer back.
Cheers,
Yi

Minutes
0. follow-ups on the action items from last week*** Action items from previous weeks ***
1) Design light-tight box for the DAQ integration test at BNL - Rahul/Flemming
-> Flemming had a look at the drawings of the UIC box sent by Xu. He will ask Yi to send the drawings of the storage box
2) Discuss how to mount modules onto the half-rings, and half-rings onto support structure - Rahul/Yi
-> discussion last week (Rahul, Felix, Bob Soja, Yi, Zhenyu), Rahul/Felix will send recommendations later
-> Rahul work on the presentation for the Forward Upgrade meeting tomorrow
3) Document the procedure and requirements of the module production steps that NCKU is responsible for - Yi
4) Look into radiation tolerance test of soft cooling tubes - Yi
5) Tune the timing setting for ADC sampling - Xu/Gerard
-> exchange emails with Gerard, under investigation
6) Studying the tracking performance by varying the Z-locations of FST disks, and number of r/phi segments - Daniel/Krishan
-> Daniel is working on integrating FstFastSimulator into his tracking package. Krishan is waiting for the update from Daniel
7) Looking into FST simulation and track reconstruction to compare 300 vs 500 micron thick sensors - Shenghui
-> see below
8) FST slow simulator with efficiency/resolution measured with prototypes and study tracking performance - Gavin/Shenghui
1. Integration by Rahul Sharma, Felix Archampong
-> Bob started working on the cooling system. Rahul plans to go to the Lab today to check the status.
2. Tracking Studies by Daniel Brandenburg, Krishan Gopal
3. Simulation Studies by Shenghui Zhang
-> Understand the new primary particle definition and why peaks around FST disk locations
-> Will remove 2 MULT from secondary particle definition, and produce separate histograms for 2 MULT.
-> Zhenyu in contact with Jason to make material budget plots. Results look reasonable with the entire FSTM volume, but problematic when splitting into daughter volumes.
4. Prototype Module Assembly and Test by Xu Sun, Andres Aguilar, Gavin Wilks
-> Zhenyu received FST03 bare module on Saturday (some delay from local delivery), and dropped it off at Fermilab after the meeting
-> Taking and analyzing data with FST rotated wrt IST by 90 degrees. Much better (<1mm) projection error along the Radial direction
-> Started working again on the Laser test stand
5. Mechanical structure by Yi Yang
-> Yi is absent from the meeting
6. Preparing for review by Flemming Videbaek
-> preparing the talks for f2f meeting towards the review
-> time ~ beginning of August
-> think about who are the reviewers
