hi Felix, Rahul, Zhenyu,
As far as the cables and T-boards I think this looks basically fine, but I have two questions/concerns:

1. It may be difficult to assemble? I don't know - just a question. I suppose the sequence is that the detector wedges are mounted first, and then the cable/T-board and cooling tubes are brought in. Is it feasible enough to plug the hybrids into the T-board and fasten the T-board to the wedge structure? On a perhaps related note, should that tab that guides/holds the cooling tube be moved somewhere such that it doesn't obstruct the T-board?
If we had to for instance change a T-board/cable at STAR (in extracted position) could this be done?

2. Do we have a plan that allows for the cables to be plugged into the patchpanel boards while the FST is in extracted position? This is a requirement, unless if there is a good reason it is impossible then we should discuss. I am supposing that it can be easily done by just peeling the cables out of the long Z-direction channels when this is needed. What do you think?

Thanks,

Gerard

Hello Team,
Attached to this email is the requested document. This also shows the clearance between the Beam pipe and the Center Brace. The cable relief is also indicated in the file (file: FST Assembly.pdf; see page 1 and 3).
*Note:*

* We will be using strip ties also to securing the cables where necessary.
Main areas for strip ties usage, as of right now, will be on the aluminum
U channel where the cable bundles are located. Additional strip ties may
be incorporated if need be.
* This document doesn’t show the new scenario of the possible extension of
the mechanical structure indicated at the meeting date Sept. 28, 2020.
This only show the latest CAD file that is in circulation and given to me.
Hence, all information in the document is to check if the final prototype
still falls within the desired numbers.
* Beam Pipe :⌀3.125in, Center Brace: ⌀3.724in, Clearance around Beam
Pipe:⌀.599in. See file FST Assembly. Pdf, page 1.

Thanks and have a great day
