Hi I will take at look at this later, I am not completely sure what you mean by
i.e. is the center
of the first module at 0 with the center of the next at (2pi)/12?

Maybe we can chat later  after 11 .30 when I am done with some other work.

Elke, The Si sensors are not at the same position. Inner and outer are displaced and alternate wedges are displaced relative to the center of the disk.

yes, I know this, but inner and outer are the same z, so this can be used.

cheers elke

Daniel,
maybe I misunderstand, but the 12 wedges in one disk, all sit at one
z, the design I have seen does not allow anything else.

Hi All,
I could not join this morning due to another meeting. I have been
working on updating the tracking code to use the correct
module-by-module z location instead of using a single z location for
each disk. I expect that this is an important aspect in resolving
the performance regression issue.  However, I am having a hard time
getting the algorithm for the z location correct.
My algorithm splits each disk into 12 equal angle wedges. Even
wedges are assigned one z location and odd wedges are assigned a
different location (and also separated for inner and outer) My
question is:
Is there an angle offset for the first module -> i.e. is the center
of the first module at 0 with the center of the next at (2pi)/12?
I am having an issue where some hits from GEANT within one of these
(2pi)/12 wedges appear to be in the next z-position, so I thought I
may be off by a fixed angle. I have also histogrammed the positions
but I'd like some confirmation that my understanding is correct.
Thanks,
Daniel
