hi Zhenyu & all,

   Following from the discussion this morning on purple cable lengths, I tried to dig out the history from the case of the FGT where the issues were very similar.

   I am certain that not all the FGT cables were of same length. Further, I'm actually fairly certain that many​ different lengths were used. (Though also fairly certain that caused some trouble when something had to be swapped once.)

   Anyway, I think the FGT experience says use a few different lengths, but try to minimize the number of different lengths so we don't have to stock too many different spares or modify/finish/test spares at time of use.
