Hey Zhenyu,

Sorry I forgot to send yesterday.

The setpoints are as follows:
Tank Level above set point: >35%
Supply flow rate above set point: 5LPM
Return flow rate above set point: 5LPM

Coolant temp above minimum temp: 20C (Ambient is ~22-23C right now)

Attached is the manual for IST cooling system. Please take a look.

On page 7, there is a table for cooling system internal interlocks.

Mike, can you confirm the interlock is set in the same way, and how large the set points are for

Tank Level above set point
Supply flow rate above set point
Return flow rate above set point
Coolant temp above minimum temp
Coolant temp below upper limit

Thank you, Yu, Jarda and David.

Yu, from your point of view, is there anything else that needs to be done for the cooling system slow control?
Can you document the cooling system slow control, including software (IOC, python scripts, etc, where they
are, how to start the programs, and operate procedure)?

We also need to define some limits for alarm conditions, like flow rate, temperature etc. I am not sure if we still have the old IST records in the STAR Alarm system. If so, they will be good starting point. Otherwise we will have to come up with our own.

Dear All,

A few updates on the slow control for the FST cooling system.
With a lot of help from Jarda and David, we fixed the error, tested the new ioc and the GUI as well. In a short word, it works perfectly.

During the test, we are able to,
 1. Turn on and off the pump with the FST expert cooling GUI
 2. Turn on and off the chiller with the FST expert cooling GUI after switching the chiller controller from "local" to "remote"
 3. When we turn off the chiller (one of the interlock sources), it will trigger the interlock alarm for FST cooling, and then we see the modules in MPOD crates are powered off. This means it also successfully triggers the interlock for MPOD crates.

Now we turn off the power for the system for tomorrow's test, after we get the system back online, we will add the watchdog program for the new ioc for the future error track.

Thank you.
Best,
Yu
