Dear Xu,
thank you for all the additional info. I agree with you the test at UIC strongly indicates the temperature and the increased pedestal are not correlated.
Cheers elke

I think if the T sensor reads high and the pedestals shift as things
warm up -- can we compare 1 min after power on to 30 min after power
on, comparing for both this module and a typical good one - then it is
probably real temperature change.
I didn't remember the flow is in series between modules. So the
coolant is surely not the issue.
But those little aluminum blocks could have become decoupled from the
cooling tube, perhaps?

Hi
As I said Monday I have yet to see an explanation that stops the flow
in
the first part of a cooling loop and that the last part has sufficient
cooling - this would require back flow.
I wonder more if something electronics went wrong with the temp
readout,
and could it have affected the output levels though unlikely.

The module 3-11 is the first module in that cooling line.
And the cooling supply will go to the outer section first then the
inner section of the module 3-11.
I agree that the temperature issue might not be caused by theflow, but we would still like to try one more time.--

Xu

let me ask a question today at the meeting I asked you is it the
module the first or the last one in the cooling chain and you
answered the first one.
So if really the cooling is causing the temperature issue. Maybe I
misunderstood your answer today, sorry.
I’m not against increasing the flow, but I’m just wondering.

Hi All,
We are planning to increase the cooling flow speed by changing the
pump setting from 1100 RPM to 1500 RPM tomorrow.
This change will increase the flow rate by 20-30% and the pressure
is still well below the limit of the soft tube.
Christian will help us to do this.
The flow speed will be changed back to 1100 RPM after we finish
the test, since the current value is sufficient enough to cool
down the whole FST.
Hopefully this can fix the temperature issue.
We will keep you posted.
Best,
Xu _______________________________________________
