Thanks for sharing the link. Is Figure 6 what you have mind? If so, the figure shows pT differential results in limited range for a few eta, but it is difficult to use it to estimate what we should expect.

Using dN/deta measured will be straightforward. For example according to the UA5 measurement, as summarized in 

G. J. Alner, et al. (UA5 Collaboration.), “UA5: A General Study of Proton-Antiproton Physics at = 546 GeV,” Physics Reports, Vol. 154, No. 5-6, 1987, pp. 247-383. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/037015738790130X

Looking at Fig 4.8 (a)

eta=2.5 dN/deta=3

eta=3.0 dN/deta=2.9

eta=4.0 dN/deta=2.0

FST 2nd disk: inner covers 2.46-2.96, outer is 2.96-4.1.

<dN/deta> for inner is 3, outers is 2.5.

dN integrated over Outer/Inner = [(4.1-2.96)*2.5] / [(2.96-2.46)*3] ~ 2
