Thanks for looking into this. Just a quick question about your statement 1:

I just quickly checked the star-sw repository on github and the last update of StFstQAMaker was 4 months ago on PR282.

We haven't updated this maker since then. Could you let us know what the issue was?

For #1:
easiest is to simply delete it for now:
rm -rf StRoot/StFstQAMaker/

FST group - can you fix this?

For #2
cd into your cloned repository, then:
git pull
cons

this updates the code and rebuilds. If git pull complains, then you need to stash, commit, or start clean etc.
I tested a clean repo and it works now for running on DAQ files


Please let me know if you run into anything else.
