Sorry for the relatively late notice. I was planning to have a very short meeting today, but I am traveling and cant find anywhere with internet reliable enough for a zoom call.

So, I propose we cancel today’s meeting (FCS people are welcome to meet at 11 or 12 with zoom room). I will follow up with a few people directly early next week.

 

Since I have been traveling to initial stages and one other conference this week, I do not have much to update anyways, but only a few things:

 

• The SL23x environment works in 64 bit but not 32 bit. The S&C team has run into an issue with 32 bit that they have no path forward for resolving, so I am trying to understand what the plan is. Fast offline etc. will not work if 32 bit is unavailable.
• A tracking version (that includes FST seeded tracking) can be found here:

• /gpfs01/star/pwg_tasks/FwdCalib/jdb/checkpoint-06-23-2023
• See the StRoot/StFwdTrackMaker/macros/daq/fst_tracking.xml for configuration options needed to make the code run in this way (default is still sTGC seeded)

 

If people want to test this new FST tracking mode then please let me know your results – it is still pretty experimental. Next week I’ll have more benchmarks for this in field on data.
