Hi Daniel,

I will also be late to the meeting due to a faculty interview (tis the season right?).  So I just wanted to write here and ask if it would be possible to have a coordinated campaign to run the tracking afterburner over the produced MuDsts and store it somewhere that everyone could access and take a look.  We could even organize a campaign of several people to each take a chunk of data and complete the processing.  We would be happy to help with that effort.

We can talk more in the meeting but just wanted to put it out there since I will be late.

Thanks,
Renee

Hi All,

This is a reminder for our FWD software meeting today. I’ll be coming right out of a faculty interview, so I may be 5-10 mins late. If so, Akio – please feel free to start with FCS material first, and then we can move into general tracking when I join.

While I’d like a few updates on key tasks (FST, Alignment, J/psi, etc.) I’d like to structure the meeting today to help update my roadmap / priorities.

As many of you can tell I’ve been stuck trying to make a few of important changes (most important is to solve the memory leak killing jobs after about 5k events). I’d like to do a few things:

  • Report on known bugs/missing functionality now
  • Plan for tracking in field on data
  • Identify the specific roadblocks / missing requirements for what each person would like to accomplish in the near term (if additional to above, but make clear what goals require what progress)
  • Identify any tasks that I can get help on, and who might help on each task
  • Quick discussion on NIM outline, get people signed up on the overleaf to edit, and assign some topics
