Genem

just a comment for your point 2
Certainly runs217016-217030 are all bad ofor the TPC as you say.

Hi, all

I have two questions to raise here....

1) As I noted last week on the ops mailing list, there was a run where
the magnetic field dropped off at the very end of data-taking. Most of
the run is fine, but I understand that FWD subsystem physics (as well
as all mid-rapidity physics) would be affected by the magnetic field
drop. I would like to know if there is already a way to set the status
of FWD subsystems to "not OK" in the middle of a run? I can already do
this for the TPC, but I don't think we yet have a global way to do
this....I might need to invent that.

2) I understand the TPC gating grid malfunctioned for a few hours
yesterday. Again, I can set the TPC status to "not OK" for these runs.
But is there any use for these runs for FWD physics without the TPC?
If not, we can just mark the runs as bad.

Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks,
-Gene
